Maiko Okajima is a performing artist and choreographer from originally Tokyo. Holding a degree from CalArts, she has performed at esteemed venues including at REDCAT, LACMA and MOCA. Maiko’s artistry is deeply influenced by nature and algorithms and is imbued with aspects of her cultural heritage. She believes in the curative power of dance and seeks to embrace the role of a creative healer through movement.
